Commitment to the safety of our team and our customers is our top priority. We employ specific measures to anticipate and avoid potential hazards. Through continuing eduction, toolbox talks and continued safety training, we are always improving our safety program. Comet Welding has achieved our Certificate of Recognition in Workplace Safety (COR) and our Partnerships in Injury Reduction in 2019. Both accreditations verify we have fully implemented safety and health programs which meet National standards.
qUALITY
The nature of our unique and complex fabrication projects drives our culture 
for continuous improvement. Our committment to providing our customers with the quality standards they have come to expect from Comet Welding include our CWB Certification. Comet Welding became a CWB certified business in 2009 - CSA W47.1 - with certification in the fusion welding of steel.
SERVICE
Comet Welding offers compliance with Canada's Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS) through its certification with National Safety Mark (NSM) and memberships with CTEA and AMVIC. These certifications provide Comet Welding with the authorization to affix the National Safety Mark on vehicles we fabricate. These certifications are required by law for any trailer, truck body or equipment. At Comet Welding Ltd. we are certified in trailer manufacturing in both air and electric brake applications. We are also certified for incomplete vehicle and final stage manufacturing.
Awards & recognitions
In 2019, Comet Welding in partnership with the Len Thompson Fishing Co, received accreditation from The Guinness Book of World Records for its fabrication of the World's Largest Fishing Lure. This has demonstrated our culture of innovation, embracing unique challenges and providing creative solutions for any industry!
We were nominated and successfully achieved The Best of Lacombe Award for Top Fabrication Company in 2019. We are a proud supporter of our community and a long-standing member with Lacombe's Chamber of Commerce.
